KLEIB Q3 is a façade silicone paint, intended primarily for painting thin-layer mineral and silicone plasters in the KLEIB and KLEIB W building insulation systems. It is also suitable for use on mineral working surfaces such as unpainted cement plasters, cement-lime plasters, unplastered walls of concrete, bricks, and hollow ceramic or silicate blocks. The paint can be used on building exteriors for protective and decorative painting.

The working surface should be dry, stable and structurally sound i.e. strong enough, free of any layers that may weaken paint adhesion. Coatings of dispersion paint must be carefully removed to obtain a clean mineral working surface. Fresh mineral plasters can be painted no earlier than three weeks after curing and drying under normal conditions.

Q3 paint is supplied ready to use. After opening, mix the tub’s contents until a smooth uniform consistency is obtained. Note: It is recommended to coat a given area with paint coming from the same production series (date), under the same conditions and in the same fashion.

The paint should be spread evenly in a thin layer over the entire surface using a brush, roller or airless spray. Depending on the absorbency and structure of the surface, the paint can be applied in many layers. The first layer can be up to 10% diluted with water. The adopted dilution ratio should be maintained over the entire painted surface. Each successive layer should be applied after the previous one is dry, i.e. after approx. 2-6 hours. It is best to paint using the “criss-cross” method in a continuous manner, avoiding interruptions in the work. During application, protect from direct sunlight, rain and strong wind. Tools should be washed with water immediately after use.

Approximately 0.15 l/m².

Store in tightly closed tubs in dry conditions and plus temperatures, for up to 24 months from the production date on the packaging.
