MINERAL PLASTER

roughcast texture 1,5 mm, 2 mm

KLEIB C4 is an element of the external thermal insulation composite system with plaster (ETICS) marketed under the trade name KLEIB, KLEIB W and KLIEB SG.

KLEIB C4 is a white mineral plaster intended for manual and mechanical application of external roughcast texture plaster on the reinforced layers of the KLEIB and KLEB W thermal insulation system and directly on mineral wool slabs in the KLEIB SG system. It can also be used on all even and sound mineral working surfaces, such as concrete, traditional cement and cement-lime plasters.

The working surface should be structurally sound, dry and even – without any surface damage or roughness, as such defects may be visible after applying the plaster. Very absorbent and flaking working surfaces should be primed with KLEIB G2 once or twice to obtain the right absorbency and structural soundness. Immediately prior to application, the surfaces of the reinforcement layers should be primed with KLEIB C3, and when this has dried (no later than 72 hours) the plaster may be applied. In the garage system, plaster should be applied directly onto the factory primed surface of mineral wool slabs with the use of a spray unit.

The plaster is prepared by pouring the entire contents of the bag into a container with a measured amount of water and mixing until a smooth, lump-free uniform consistency is obtained. The plaster is ready to use after 5 minutes and after remixing. Prepare portions that are to be used within approx. 2 hours.

Apply the plaster manually with a stainless steel plasterer’s float or with the use of an airless spray unit. It should be trowelled smooth at the same time as its application, and always in the same fashion. It is recommended to carry out work on a given surface in one technological cycle (without any interruption). It must be performed within 72 hours of priming the surface. During application and drying of the plaster, protect the applied plaster from direct sunlight, rain and strong wind. Tools should be washed with water immediately after use.

For grain size of 1.5 mm and 2 mm approximately 2.4-2.7 kg/m².

Store in tightly closed bags in dry conditions for up to 12 months from the production date on the packaging.
