PRIMER
deeply penetrating
KLEIB GP-20 is an agent for priming very absorbent substrates made of concrete, gypsum, bricks, autoclaved aerated concrete, plasterboard panels etc. prior to applying plasters, joint compounds, tile adhesives, floors and subfloors, paints, wallpapers, etc. Due to its ability to penetrate very deeply, it is particularly recommended for all old and poorly bound substrates. To be used inside and outside of buildings.
- based on fine particle acrylic dispersion
- recommended for all old and crumbling substrates
- strengthens the substrate and regulates the absorbency process
- reduces paint consumption
- enhances bonding capacity of tile adhesives
- to be used indoors and on façades
- ecological
- odourless

KLEIB GP-20 is a ready-to-use product based on fine particle acrylic dispersion. It is a high-yield product that is very convenient and easy to use. When dry, it forms a non-flammable, colourless, vapour-permeable coating. KLEIB GP-20 penetrates extremely deep into the primed surface, strengthening it and improving its structural soundness while reducing its absorbency. Thanks to sealing the structure of the primed substrate, KLEIB GP-20 reduces the consumption of the materials used for the preparation the next layer, such as paints, joint compounds, adhesives, etc. The product is non-flammable, water-dilutable, alkaline-resistant, odourless and it does not contain toxic substances. The primed surface is resistant to temperatures from -20°C to +70°C.
The working surface should be dry, free of dust, dirt, lime, oil, grease or wax. Any loose layers not bound to the substrate should be removed before application of the primer.
KLEIB GP-20 is supplied ready to use. It may not be combined with other materials or thickened. When required, the preparation can be diluted with water in any proportions. Mix the contents of the package before use.
KLEIB GP-20 primer should be spread evenly over the entire prepared working surface preferably using a brush or a roller. Very absorbent substrates (e.g. dry and porous concrete, screed, autoclaved aerated concrete) should be primed twice. In case of the first layer, the preparation can be diluted with clean water in the 1:1 ratio. During priming, the temperature of the substrate and the ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +25°C. Further work can begin after the product has dried out completely, i.e. after approx. 24 hours.
Approximate consumption ranges from 0.05 to 0.25 kg of the product per 1 m of surface area. Actual unit consumption of the material depends on the absorbency of the substrate.
Paint brush or roller. Tools should be washed with clean water immediately after use.
KLEIB GP-20 should be stored and transported in tightly closed containers in dry conditions and positive temperatures (preferably on pallets). Protect from overheating. Do not leave containers open once their contents has been partly used. The shelf life of the preparation is 12 months from the date on the packaging.
